PHOTOS: Serbs around Srebrenica had been brutally torturing and then burning Bosnian Muslims alive. Victims included pregnant Muslim women, children, and elderly.
The events preceding and leading to the Srebrenica Genocide included unprecedented levels of cruelty committed by Bosnian Serbs around Srebrenica against the civilian Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) population of the Podrinje.
In order to prolong the suffering of innocent victims, Serbs around Srebrenica would barricade Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) women, children, and elderly men in abandoned houses and then set them on fire alive.
Those who tried to escape would be fired upon and killed. The youngest victim was 2 days old baby whose remains contained multiple bullet holes. Some babies died in their mothers’ wombs as you can see in forensic photos provided below.
